Wireless Bargaining Update 11

Your Bargaining Committee met with the Company in two negotiation sessions on Wednesday, February 13, 2008.  The Union presented revised bargaining proposals on the Grievance and Arbitration procedures, Holidays and Job Vacancies.  The Company presented counter-proposals on Holidays, Excused Days with Pay.  The Bargaining Committee is studying the Company’s counter proposals.  We will meet again on Thursday, February 14, 2008.  The Committee wants to thank everyone for wearing red today.

Wireless Bargaining Update 10

Your Bargaining Committee met with the Company on Tuesday, February 12, 2008.  The Company presented counter proposals to the Union on Holidays, work assignments, seniority, classification of employees, funeral leave and arbitration of grievances.  The Bargaining Committee thanks all of the Members participating in Mobilization activities.  The Union is studying all of the Company’s proposals and will meet again on Wednesday, February 13, 2008.

Wireless Bargaining Update #9

Today your Union Bargaining Committee met with the Company and presented revised bargaining demands on a four day work week, an Intersubsidiary Movement Process and a Sales Compensation Plan. The Company presented counter proposals on the Grievance and Arbitration Articles and classification of employees. The Bargaining Committee continues to study the Company proposals. The Committee will meet again with the Company tomorrow, February 12, 2008.

Bargaining Update 8

Your Bargaining Committee met with the Company on Friday, February 8, 2008. The Committee met with a Company subject matter expert to fully understand the commission plan.  The Union presented a revised bargaining demand on a Team Performance Award.  The Committee is studying the documentation that the Company produced regarding how the commission plan is implemented.

Today was Union Day at the wireless call center. The mobilizing and organizing committees and stewards ran a great event. Here was one of their union chants.


Bargaining Update 7

Your Bargaining Committee met with the Company on Thursday, February 7, 2008.  The Committee presented revised bargaining demands on new overtime language, a call out provision, and enhanced “on call” payments.  The Committee presented bargaining demands for an MOA on Monitoring, an expanded Multilingual Differential, and an Employment Security Commitment (ESC) for surplus employees.  Many revised bargaining demands on job upgrades were presented to the Company.

Bargaining Update

Your Bargaining Committee met with the Company on Wednesday, February 6, 2008.  The Committee presented revised bargaining demands on force rearrangements and force adjustment language.  The Union presented demands on pensions, enhancing the 401k Company contributions, Scheduling of work tours, a motor vehicle usage plan and a Memorandum of Agreement regarding the Company’s use of Global Positioning System (GPS) in Company owned vehicles.  The Committee also bargained for a Successorship Clause in the event the business should be sold.

Bargaining Update

Your Bargaining Committee met with the Company today. The Committee presented demands on Vacations, Travel and Leave of Absence language for Members serving in the Armed Services. The Union also discussed some of its proposed upgrades for employees.

The Committee proposed language to create ad-hoc Committees to address, flex-time, emergency time and appointment time for Customer Service Representatives. The Union presented a revised bargaining demand to create a Job Vacancy Article so that employees can file permanent requests for placement in addition to the current Company provided transfer system.

The Committee appreciates the support from all the Locals and Members regarding the Mobilization all over the District. Support the Bargaining Committee by participating in Mobilization events. Wireless Bargaining Update

Your Bargaining Committee worked through the weekend studying the Company’s proposals and preparing for negotiations. Today, the Committee met with the Company and presented revised Union proposals. Union Bargaining proposals discussed, included an improved grievance and arbitration procedure, improved holiday language as well as strengthened contract language protecting full-time and part-time employees. The Committee also proposed enhanced non-discrimination contract language.

The Bargaining Committee will meet with the Company again on Tuesday, February 5, 2008.
