Here are the submissions which were approved by those present and sent on to the bargaining committee:<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-right: 6pt\">Pay:\u00c2\u00a0 Of course higher pay was the most common request from the membership. This has been conveyed to the district for contract negotiation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-right: 6pt\"> <span style=\"font-family: Arial\">Change Article 7, Section 1, <span> <\/span><span> <\/span>to read:<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 6pt 0.0001pt 0.25in\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">All complaints or prospective grievances shall normally be taken up informally with the first level of Management in an effort to resolve the matter<u>. To minimize the cost and delays inherent in formal grievances, the company will compensate stewards for time spent in these informal resolution meetings.<o:p><\/o:p><\/u><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-right: 6pt\"><u><span style=\"font-family: Arial\"><o:p><span style=\"text-decoration: none\"> <\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/u><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-right: 6pt\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">Add Article 2, Section 2, Paragraph b2 <span> <\/span>to read:<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-left: 0.25in\">Any position negotiated in this contract will be populated at all appropriate work centers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-right: 6pt\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">Remove from Article 7, Section 2:<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-left: 0.25in\">However the rights of management, as set forth in this agreement, and all other inherent rights of management not expressly limited by a specific provision of this agreement are vested exclusively in the company and are not subject to the grievance or arbitration procedures of this agreement. (<em>Remove this entire statement. Every action or past practice of the company should be subject to the grievance\/arbitration process<\/em>.)<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-right: 6pt\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">Change Article 7, Section 2, Paragraph b <span> <\/span>to read:<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-left: 0.25in\">Alleging that an employee has been discharged, suspended, demoted, <u>unfairly treated<\/u> or otherwise disciplined without just cause.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-right: 6pt\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">Change add or modify Article 7, Section 3, Step 1 <span> <\/span>to read:<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-left: 0.25in\">The designated Company representative will provide a decision <u>and a written explanation of the decision, <\/u>within 10 work days . . .<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-right: 6pt\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">Change Article 7, Section 7,<span>  <\/span>to read:<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Formal grievance meetings shall be held at mutually agreeable times and locations. For the purpose of presenting a grievance, those employees of the company including the aggrieved employee(s) and the employee representatives designated by the Union, who shall suffer no loss in pay for the time consumed in, and necessarily consumed in traveling to and from grievance meetings, shall not be more than three (3) at any level of the grievance procedure and shall include a designated Union representative in lieu of the grievant when the grievant chooses not to attend<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-right: 6pt\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">Change Article 7, Section 9 to remove the following:<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-left: 0.25in\">provided, however, that the company may extend said period for an additional thirty (30) days upon written request to the <st1:place>Union<\/st1:place>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-right: 6pt\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">Change add or modify Article 11 <span> <\/span>to read:<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-left: 0.25in\">Length of service (net credited service) as determined by the pension plan administrator shall be taken into account in the treatment of employees insofar as the conditions of the business and the abilities of the employees permit.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-right: 6pt\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">Change Article 12, Section 2, Paragraph b to read:<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span> <\/span>In the event there are business needs, as determined by the company requiring certain qualification for particular work schedules <u>the company will provide all<span>  <\/span>employees adequate training to meet required qualifications for work schedules. <\/u><span> <\/span>The company shall offer such schedules on the basis of seniority to those employees the company determines possess the required qualifications.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-right: 6pt\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">Change Article 13, Section 1 to read:<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-left: 0.25in\">The company shall first give consideration to internal candidates in seniority order prior to off-street applicants.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-right: 6pt\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">Change Article 13, Section 3 <span> <\/span>to read:<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-left: 0.25in\">Selection of an employee to fill the position shall be based on seniority.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-right: 6pt\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">Change Article 13, Section 4 <span> <\/span>to read:<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-left: 0.25in\">The company agrees to provide the <st1:place>Union<\/st1:place>, in writing, the name and title of all candidates as well as candidates selected under this article, by the 15<sup>th<\/sup> calendar day after any such selection is made.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-right: 6pt\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">Add to Article 13, Section 6 to read:<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-left: 0.25in\">All customer service work will be performed by bargaining unit employees. The company will not use contractors if it would lead to a loss of jobs.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-left: 0.25in\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-right: 6pt\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">Add Article 14, Section 8 to read:<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-left: 0.25in\">In the event that, through churn or attrition and in spite of the Company&#8217;s hiring, the force at a work center shall decrease by more than 15%, the Company agrees to meet with the Union local to review and attempt to correct the issues which are resulting in this force reduction.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-right: 6pt\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">Add to end of Article 17, Section 1, Paragraph 2 <span> <\/span>to read:<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-right: 6pt\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-left: 0.25in\">During the new employee&#8217;s final week of training, the Company \/ Union relationship will again be reviewed and the <st1:place>Union<\/st1:place> will again be given an opportunity to answer their questions and enroll them.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-right: 6pt\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">Change Article 17, Section 5<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-left: 0.25in\">Replace 240 hours of union time with 60 days. Add positions for 90 days and 120 days for a number of employees or officers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-right: 6pt\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-right: 6pt\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-right: 6pt\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">Change Article 19, Section 10 to read:<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-left: 0.25in\">A multilingual Differential consisting of 10% for each hour worked when assigned by management to speak . . .<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-right: 6pt\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">Add Article 17, Section 7, Paragraph d <span> <\/span>to read:<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-left: 0.25in\">The Company and the <st1:place>Union<\/st1:place> shall establish ad hoc committees to address the following issues:<\/p>\n<ol style=\"margin-top: 0in\" start=\"1\" type=\"1\">\n<li>\n<ol style=\"margin-top: 0in\" start=\"1\" type=\"a\">\n<li class=\"MsoNormal\">A       committee to discuss Flex-time, Emergency Time and Appointment Time<\/li>\n<li class=\"MsoNormal\">A       committee to discuss the establishment of a process for upgrading to       higher titles.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-right: 6pt\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">Add Article 19, Section 11 to read:<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-left: 0.25in\">Any CSR1 that handles a preponderance of combined billing or performs any function that requires specialized skill sets (including but not limited to representatives taking escalated calls)<span>  <\/span>shall be upgraded to CSR2 title at the appropriate step of the wage schedule.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-right: 6pt\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">Change add or modify Article 21, Section 5 <span> <\/span>as follows:<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-left: 0.25in\">Revise the Funeral section to match the District 6 CWA\/SBC Article XI Section 4 Funerals but add Nephew, Niece, Aunt, Uncle or spouse\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s grandparents<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><o:p> <\/o:p><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-right: 6pt\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">Change add or modify Article 21, Section 5 <span> <\/span>to read:<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-left: 0.25in\">Employees shall be allowed pay for absence from <u>scheduled<\/u> time because of death in their immediate family. Payment for such absent time shall consist of the basic pay and any extra payment for differential which would otherwise have been received had the regular scheduled tour been worked.
