Your Chance to Submit Wireless Contract Bargaining Items

Read the letter below. Print the form from the link. (You can also get a form from a steward or at the Union hall.) Follow the instructions to fill out the form and get the form to a steward by Monday.

Dear Union Member:Please complete the attached AT&T Mobility Bargaining Proposal. This is your opportunity to voice your concerns by letting your Bargaining Committee know what items you would like to have negotiated with the company. Please submit your completed proposal to any CWA steward no later than Monday, October 29, 2007.

We have scheduled a meeting for Thursday, November 1 at the Union Hall at 7pm to review and discuss each proposal prior to forwarding to our bargaining committee. It is extremely important for every member to attend.

Instructions to members for completing bargaining proposals are as follows

1. Write legibly or type all proposals
2. List one item to each page
3. Staple all supporting documentation or data to the proposal
4. List name, address and telephone number of person to be contacted for additional information if needed.
5. Submit proposal to the Local by October 29, 2007.

Wireless Organizing Day

There will be an Organizing Day at the wireless call center from 10am-2pm. District 6 Staff Representative will be available to provide information and answer your questions.

Stewards Army Training & Bargaining Update

October 23 at 6:30 at the Holiday Inn at the Lubbock Civic Center, 888 Avenue Q, District Staff Representative Sylvia Ramos will conduct an orientation and training on the new CWA Steward’s Army and the difference it can make in our work life. She will also answer questions on the upcoming wireless contract bargaining. The event is for both wireline and wireless members.

Work nights? For those members who work evenings, there will be an additional training and update will be held at 9:00 am Wednesday, October 24 at the union hall.

This is a great opportunity to find out what’s happening with the union and what you can do to increase our power and success. Plan to attend and pass the word.
