It is not just for officers and stewards, we all( officers, stewards, all members), make up the “union”. Bring any questions, comments or concerns that you may have. We will have a few topics to cover and provide updates.

Also, it is that time again! We will be taking nominations for Local Officers, Executive Board Officers and Chief Stewards as mentioned in the previous post. As of September 15, 2017 nominations will be taken, by any member in good standing at any time prior to October 3, 2017 at 5:00pm. Nominations can be given by phone, text or in person.

During the membership meeting on October 3, 2017 nominations will also be taken from the floor.

Nominations will be accepted at the October monthly membership meeting of CWA Local 6203 on:

Tuesday, October 03, 2017

The Election Committee will accept phone nominations prior to the meeting. The committee, during the meeting, will also open nominations from the floor. Any member in good standing may nominate, provided the nominee is a member in good standing, attend at least six (6) of the past twelve (12) membership meetings(Chief Stewards not included) prior to nominations and agrees to be a nominee. For a list of responsibilities for these positions see the local by-laws. A copy can be provided.

Nominations for the offices of President and Secretary-Treasurer shall also constitute a nomination of the same person as a delegate to all CWA Conventions held during the three year term. The AT&T Mobility Vice President and AT&T Core Vice President shall serve alternately as delegates/alternates as needed.

The Executive Board and Membership meetings will be changed to Friday, September 15, 2017 due to the District 6 Convention September 11 – 14 and availability of the meeting room. Meeting times will remain the same…5:30pm for the Executive Board & 6:30pm for the Membership.

Yearly 1% increase in Pension Bands for the life of the contract
Involuntary Severance Payment increases by 3% on January 1, 2019
Ratification Bonus of $1,000 if ratified by April 7, 2017
