Nominations will be accepted at the October monthly membership meeting of CWA Local 6203 on:

Tuesday, October 4, 2011
6:30pm
405 50th St

The Election Committee will accept phone nominations prior to the meeting. The committee, during the meeting, will also open nominations from the floor. Any member in good standing may nominate, provided the nominee is a member in good standing, attended at least six (6) of the past twelve (12) membership meetings prior to nominations and agrees to be a nominee. For a list of responsibilities for these positions see the local by-laws. A copy can be provided.

Nominations for the offices of President and Secretary-Treasurer shall also constitute a nomination of the same person as a delegate to all CWA Conventions held during the three year term. The AT&T Mobility Vice President and AT&T Core Vice President shall serve alternately as delegates/alternate as needed.

AT&T Mobility and CWA Contract Time

AT&T Mobility Employees: Contract time is upon us once again. Our time to bargain better wages, job conditions and benefist is rapidly approaching. The current contract will expire on February 24, 2012 and early bargaining will begin in November, 2011. It is more important than ever to stengthen our union. Better Union Membership Means a Better Contract – If you are not a member, join today! In the coming months you will see mobilizing/organizing activities at the Mobility call center. Be sure to stop, ask your questions and express your concerns. As always, you may reach us at the union hall 806-793-6203 for an organizing update or any other issue or concern you may have. Please log onto our website for additional information and upcoming organizing events.  Our membership meetings are held on the 1st Tuesday of each month at the Union Hall at 405 50th Street, Lubbock, TX 79404.

AUGUST MONTHLY MEETINGS

Our monthly Executive Board and Membership Meetings will be held on Tuesday, 08-02-11. Please come out and join us so that you can receive the latest updates. Also, if you have questions, problems and/or issues that need to be address we will be glad to provide feedback or assistance. Also, we are gearing up for the Mobility Contract that will expire on February 24, 2012 and welcome the help and support of all of our members. The meeting times are shown below.
